Pardon our Progress

Hello, there! I'm Beaux, FILM ADDICT AT LARGE!!! I snatch up movies in the dead of night and WATCH them! And now I'm going to write about them more frequently than I have been! No movie is safe and NO ONE CAN STOP ME!!!!

Attentive readers will have noticed that I've changed the name of my blog from 'Beaux's Movie Blog' (Yawn) to 'FILM ADDICT AT LARGE!' It's so much more exciting of a title, you must agree. If you don't agree, try shouting it.

With the new title will come new habits. I intend to write something every day beginning tomorrow, September 1, 2015 (Well, technically, starting today, but whatever.). In the past year I have neglected to write on this blog almost entirely, due to time restraints in my personal life. By golly, I think it's about time I started making time! Don't you? Don't you think that? Don't you think I should make time to write? Don't you?

To keep things interesting, I have put together a list of ongoing series that I think will be fun for me to write and for you to read. And to keep things reliable, I have put together a schedule of exactly when I will be writing each post. Below is a quick guide.

Recent Release Roundup (every Sunday)-
An overview of the weekend's new theatrical releases and what I thought of the ones I saw.

Beaux's Journal (every Monday and Friday)-
A brief personal update about whatever's going on in my real life.

The Must-Sees (every Tuesday)-
A guide to what I feel are the greatest movies ever made, or at least the ones that every film fan should make an effort to see. I'll try to keep these less like a scholarly essay and more like a friendly recommendation.

"When did I buy that?" (every other Wednesday)-
You know how your blu-ray/DVD collection is so large that you often discover you own movies you forgot existed, or possibly haven't ever seen? Every couple weeks I'll pull out a few of my random purchases and see if they were worth the buy.

Touring the Scream Factory (every other Wednesday)-
The Scream Factory blu-ray line from Shout! is possibly the best all-in-one-place horror movie home video collection, and I'm gonna review each film in the series.

Beaux's Bad Movies (every Thursday)-
Watching terrible movies and making them fun with mockery!

From My Childhood (1st and 3rd Saturday of the month)-
Watching movies I loved as a kid and seeing how they hold up.

Revisiting... (every 2nd Saturday)-
Watching some of everybody's favorite movies and seeing what the big deal is.

Supporting Actor Saturday (every 4th Saturday)-
Reviewing and ranking the Best Supporting Actor nominees from each year at the Oscars. Most people probably won't care about this one, but the supporting performances are my favorite categories, so there.

From the Archives (any time there's a 5th Saturday)-
Here's where I'll share some essays, short fiction, and unfinished projects that I've never published anywhere.

So that's how much I'm going to try to do, and if it turns out to be too much I'll cut it back. But I want to try to update the blog with some sort of regularity and with things that might actually be entertaining. So, tune in as often as you wish to see how it all turns out. Or not at all. It won't hurt my feelings, jerkwad.
